If there are three words to describe Chloe and Nate’s exquisite wedding at Olowalu Plantation House on the island of Maui , it would be: Joyful, jubilant, and just-plain-fun! (Maybe that counts for more than three words, but you will see what we mean when scrolling through these fun-filled photos.) Chloe and Nate were all smiles throughout the wedding day, and each guest was welcomed to the reception table with a thoughtful, handwritten note from the couple (which is no small feat considering there were 80 guests!)
Beautiful bride, Chloe, surprised her handsome groom with a special hula performance of “Maunaleo” during the reception, after researching the moves on YouTube and brushing up with a local hula instructor. We are sure that her heartfelt surprise knocked his socks off!

“We were told over and over again by our guests that our wedding was the best one they have ever been to. Cherise really gave us the dream wedding we wanted! For a full year we had to coordinate solely on email and phone call as I was based in NY , which at times were a little nerve wrecking, but she was always calm and took down every request I told her. The last month was crunch time for us and she was so supportive and helpful in getting us through stressful planning moments. Everything went smoothly on the day of. I did not have to worry about anything on the day. We felt really well taken care of. She even made sure we ate enough dinner! Thank you so much Cherise for giving us an unforgettable memory.”

What could be more romantic than to elope in Hawaii? Todd and Nicky wanted a private, intimate setting for sharing their marriage vows with each other. Luckily, the groom’s childhood friend is a wedding planner…on Maui! So, he reached out to Cherise with The Perfect Wedding and she took care of all of the details for this sweet couple.
They began with a first look and portraits in the magical Honolua forrest on Maui’s upper west shore. Next they walked the boardwalk along Ironwoods beach and joined officiant Charles Nahale for a private ceremony for just the two of them. Nicky carried a bouquet of her favorite stargazer lilies as they were wed among the crashing waves at Ironwood’s beach. Faye Daai Lumiere and her husband/second shooter captured all of the beauty as it unfolded. It couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day and the perfect beginning for these two as husband and wife.

On Maui’s breathtaking South shore lies the Ponomakena Sanctuary, where Dana and Kyle shared heartfelt vows surrounded by friends and family. We love the vintage Airstream used as the bridal suite, which added a fun retro-flare to these shots! After a sun-kissed ceremony near the sea, the reception kicked off with exquisite cocktails from Aloha Bars Maui and tasty morsels from Cafe O’Lei. The guests were treated to hula performances by Manutea Nui E, and those brave enough to be in the spotlight were able to participate in learning a few of the traditional hula steps. Once the dancing started, there was no stopping as the group migrated to the dance floor to end the night gettin’ down under the twinkling lights.

Kailani and James celebrated their love of Hawai’i and of each other by saying their “I dos” at Punakea Palms, overlooking the breathtaking Pacific Ocean. Kailani’s eye for design (as an event designer herself!) naturally lent itself to the custom look she curated for her wedding day. The sheik elegance of the white and ivory color palette created an enchanting evening for the couple and their guests to enjoy under the Maui moonlight.

Jim and Josh held their wedding at the stunning Olowalu Plantation House on the sparkling shores of Maui. Friends and family raved about the beauty of the location they chose for their sweet ceremony by the sea. As the sun set over the island, the couple was able to enjoy a stroll down the pier together before rejoining the celebration under the twinkling bistro lights.

What a beautiful wedding , we were so happy to be a part of this wonderful couples “I dos!” Congratulations Jim and Josh!

If you are ready to fall in LOVE, take a peak into the ceremony and reception of Michelle and Kellen! As a private chef and past winner of Cut Throat Kitchen, Kellen knows how to win, and lucky enough, he has won the heart of his beautiful bride, Michelle. We just adore this fun-loving couple! Hand-made tie-dye napkins and dainty porcelain sake cups (used for a sake toast, as a nod to their heritage) were thoughtful favors their guests were able to take home as a token of this oh-so-special day.

Once the reception kicked off and the music started , there was no stopping! They danced and danced as the full moon rose over the mountains and shone down on couple, surrounded by friends, family, and most of all…love.
