Maui’s only Adults-Only resort – but don’t fret if you have a vision of having adorable flower girls in your wedding…kids can stay for the event, but cannot stay overnight on property. This intimate property offers several options for wedding ceremony and receptions from outdoors to indoors with a view. A great honeymoon hotel to stay at, even if not getting married here.
Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa
The Sheraton Resort is located on Kaanapali Beach at the historic Pu’u Kukui “Black Rock” cliff. There are several beautiful locations here for your wedding ceremony and reception. The Black Rock Lawn, overlooks it’s namesake, Black Rock and the beautiful blue ocean. The Moana Lawn sits high atop Black Rock and looks straight out to Molokai in the distance. The Alii Suite Lawn is luxury at it’s finest with a stunning vista of the entire stretch of Kaanapali Beach. And Kaanapali Point is perfect for an intimate gathering with beautiful ocean and sunset views. The Sheraton has a wonderful private dining option of the Coral Reef room where you can have your reception, dine with lovely views and dance the night away to your private DJ.
Outrigger Ka'anapali Beach Resort
The Outrigger Ka’anapali Beach Resort is one of Maui’s most Hawaiian hotels. Located on Ka’anapali’s gorgeous sandy beach, the intimate Naupaka Lawn is the perfect ceremony location for a group of up to 30 of your family and friends. The Naupaka Lawn is an oceanfront grassy area surrounded by a low hedge after which it was named, with amazing views of Kaanapali Beach, Black Rock, the islands of Molokai and Lanai and stunning sunsets. Follow your ceremony with a casual dinner reception at Maui Brewing Co, known for it’s locally crafted award winning beers and island-inspired hand crafted food. This hotel offers a personal experience with daily guest activities perpetuating Hawaiian culture and arts and crafts. Our favorite amenity is the farewell kukui lei – each guest will receive a kukui lei upon departure and each time they return, they will bring that lei with them and the cultural specialist will assist them in restringing the lei, adding a different colored kukui nut to the strand. One new kukui nut for each visit. Some visitors love this resort so much they have acquired an entire lei fully made up of the “returning” kukui nuts. This is a resort where you are not customers, you are Ohana (family). For those wanting to have their wedding at the same location as their accommodations this is a wonderful, affordable option.
Royal Lahaina Resort
The Royal Lahaina is a great choice for those wanting a bit more of a resort feel, but on a smaller scale and with more privacy than most larger Maui resorts. Nestled between Kaanapali’s North Beach and Kaanapli Golf Course, you won’t have the heavy tourist traffic that you find on the main strip in Kaanapali. The Villas Lawn is a lush oceanfront grassy area with amazing views, manicured landscaping and a fairly good privacy for up to 80. Follow your ceremony with a private reception in the adjacent, open air Hale Piilani Room and dance the night away. There are also two private lawns on property that can be utilized in conjunction with cottage bookings that are really nice options for a small group. The Seaside Junior Suite & Lawn is perfect for an intimate ceremony and dinner for a group of up to about 15-20 or ceremony only for up to 40. The Royal Beach Cottage is a cute 2-bedroom cottage suite with a small covered lanai, gated lawn and a sweet little waterfall flowing into your own private hot tub/mini pool. This is a great choice for a group of up to 50.
Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa
The Hyatt has several wedding sites for those wanting to get married at a resort. Our favorite is the Statue Gardens – this location is quite private for being at a popular resort. Beautiful view, soft lawns, gorgeous photo ops are everywhere. The Hyatt with it’s classic elegance and high service standards does weddings beautifully.
